Environmental Water Quality Consultant / Senior Consultant (Riverine Modelling)
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Environmental Water Quality Consultant / Senior Consultant (Riverine Modelling) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments of riverine systems, focusing on water quality, ecological health, and compliance with regulatory standards. You will lead and contribute to various projects involving river modelling, data analysis, and the development of management plans aimed at improving and maintaining water quality in freshwater systems. Your expertise will be crucial in interpreting complex data and preparing technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for stakeholders, ensuring that best practices are upheld throughout the project lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in environmental science, hydrology, or a related field, with several years of experience in riverine modelling and water quality assessment. Proficiency in modelling software such as MIKE, HEC-RAS, or similar tools is essential, along with a solid understanding of relevant legislation and environmental policies. You will also demonstrate excellent project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and regulatory agencies. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are vital for effectively conveying complex technical concepts to non-expert stakeholders.
