Working closely with sales, delivery and technical teams, you will translate business requirements into practical, secure and commercially viable proposals. You will play a key role throughout the sales cycle, from initial discovery and solution shaping through to presentations, demonstrations, tender responses and contract handover.

Your responsibilities will include gathering and analysing customer requirements; developing solution architectures, technical proposals, statements of work and responses to requests for information or tender; and presenting solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences. You will help define appropriate services across areas such as infrastructure, cloud, networking, endpoint protection, identity and access management, security monitoring, vulnerability management, governance, risk and compliance. You will also contribute to pricing and cost modelling, maintain accurate opportunity documentation, support proof-of-concept activities and ensure proposed solutions align with relevant security standards, regulatory obligations and customer objectives.

The successful candidate will have experience in an IT, infrastructure, cloud or cybersecurity presales, consulting or solutions engineering role, with a strong understanding of modern technology and information security principles. You should be confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels and able to explain complex technical concepts clearly. Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, negotiation and organisational skills are essential, along with a structured approach to managing multiple opportunities and deadlines. Relevant industry certifications or qualifications in cybersecurity, cloud, networking, architecture or service management would be advantageous. A proactive, commercially aware mindset and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are also important.

In this customer-facing role, you will work closely with sales teams, technical specialists and clients to understand business challenges, shape effective solutions and communicate the value of proposed services. You will contribute throughout the sales cycle, from early discovery and qualification through to presentations, demonstrations, proposals and contract discussions.

Your responsibilities will include gathering and analysing customer requirements, developing solution architectures, preparing statements of work, responding to tenders and producing clear technical and commercial documentation. You will lead or support client workshops, demonstrations and presentations, translating complex technical concepts into practical business outcomes for both technical and non-technical audiences. You will also help identify risks, dependencies and opportunities, ensure proposed solutions align with customer objectives, and maintain a strong understanding of current IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, networking, security operations, governance and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in an IT, cybersecurity, consulting or solutions engineering presales environment, with the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders. A strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including risk management, identity and access management, security monitoring, vulnerability management, cloud security or compliance, is highly desirable. You should be commercially aware, organised and comfortable managing multiple opportunities at different stages. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to build trusted relationships and work collaboratively across technical and commercial teams. Relevant professional certifications in cybersecurity, cloud, networking or service management would be advantageous. This role may involve occasional travel to customer sites and industry events.
