We are seeking an Engineer – OT Cyber Security to help protect operational technology environments supporting critical industrial and infrastructure operations. This role will contribute to the design, implementation and ongoing improvement of cyber security controls across industrial control systems, supervisory control and data acquisition platforms, process control networks and other operational technology assets. You will work closely with engineering, operations, maintenance, IT and risk teams to improve resilience while maintaining safety, reliability and operational continuity.

Key responsibilities include assessing OT environments for vulnerabilities and cyber security risks; supporting network segmentation, secure remote access, firewalls, intrusion detection and endpoint protection; developing and maintaining security standards, procedures and technical documentation; and contributing to vulnerability management, patching and configuration management activities. You will assist with security monitoring, incident response, threat investigations and recovery planning, ensuring that issues are documented, escalated and resolved effectively. The role will also involve participating in audits, risk assessments, security reviews, change management and project delivery, as well as helping embed secure-by-design principles into new and existing systems.

The successful candidate will have experience in OT, industrial control systems, automation, network engineering or a closely related cyber security discipline. You should have a practical understanding of OT protocols, architectures and technologies, together with knowledge of cyber security frameworks and standards such as IEC 62443, NIST, ISO 27001 or relevant regulatory requirements. Experience with vulnerability assessment tools, network monitoring platforms, firewalls and security information and event management systems is desirable. Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills are essential, along with the ability to work methodically in safety-critical environments. Relevant qualifications or professional certifications in cyber security, networking, industrial automation or engineering would be advantageous.
