We are seeking a skilled Threat Detection Engineer (AWS) to join our dynamic cybersecurity team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining threat detection systems and methodologies within our AWS environment. Your primary duties will include analyzing security alerts, developing detection rules, and fine-tuning security monitoring tools to enhance our ability to respond to potential threats. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on security best practices and facilitate the integration of security measures into our workflows.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cloud security, particularly within AWS, and have hands-on experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools. You should be proficient in scripting languages such as Python or Bash to automate detection processes and have a solid understanding of network protocols, application security, and incident response strategies. Excellent analytical skills are essential for identifying patterns and anomalies in data that could indicate potential security threats. A certification in relevant cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty, CISSP, or CEH) is preferred.
