We are seeking a Maritime Security Analyst to support the assessment, monitoring and mitigation of security risks affecting maritime operations, vessels, ports and associated supply chains. The successful candidate will analyse a wide range of information, including vessel movements, port activity, regional developments, open-source intelligence and incident reporting, to identify emerging threats and provide clear, timely assessments. This role requires sound judgement, strong analytical ability and an understanding of the political, geographic and operational factors that influence maritime security.

Key responsibilities include monitoring maritime security incidents and developing regular intelligence updates, risk assessments and briefing materials for internal stakeholders. You will research threats such as piracy, armed robbery, smuggling, terrorism, civil unrest, geopolitical tensions and disruption to critical infrastructure. The role will also involve maintaining accurate databases, validating information from multiple sources, identifying patterns and trends, and supporting the development of security advisories and contingency recommendations. You may be required to contribute to incident response activities, participate in briefings, liaise with relevant external contacts and provide analytical support during periods of heightened risk.

Applicants should have experience in maritime security, intelligence analysis, risk management, international relations, defence, law enforcement or a related field. A strong understanding of global maritime routes, port operations, vessel tracking systems and regional security dynamics is desirable. You should be confident assessing the reliability of information, producing concise written reports and presenting complex findings to both specialist and non-specialist audiences. Excellent research, communication and organisational skills are essential, along with proficiency in common data analysis and reporting tools. The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and maintain discretion when handling sensitive information is also required. Experience with geospatial platforms, open-source intelligence techniques or maritime domain awareness systems would be advantageous.
