This role will work closely with infrastructure, engineering, service delivery and risk teams to identify vulnerabilities, reduce exposure and promote secure working practices.

Key responsibilities include monitoring and triaging alerts from security information and event management, endpoint protection, identity and network security platforms; investigating suspected security incidents and escalating issues in accordance with established procedures; supporting incident response, evidence gathering, root-cause analysis and remediation tracking; and assisting with vulnerability assessments, prioritisation and remediation activities. You will also contribute to access reviews, security risk assessments, audit preparation, policy updates and the development of management reports and performance metrics. The role may involve supporting security awareness initiatives, reviewing technical changes and helping ensure that security requirements are incorporated into projects and operational processes.

Applicants should have experience in an information security, cyber security, infrastructure security or related analytical role, with a practical understanding of security monitoring, incident management, vulnerability management and common cyber threats. Familiarity with tools such as SIEM, endpoint detection and response, vulnerability scanning, identity management or cloud security platforms is desirable. Relevant qualifications or certifications, such as a degree in cyber security or information technology, CompTIA Security+, Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001 or equivalent experience, would be advantageous. Strong analytical, communication and documentation skills are essential, together with sound judgement, attention to detail and the ability to explain technical risks clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
