We are seeking a Cyber Security SOC Level 1 Analyst to join a security operations team responsible for monitoring, detecting and responding to cyber threats across a diverse technology environment. In this role, you will monitor security alerts and events using SIEM, endpoint detection and response, network monitoring and other security tools. Duties will also include reviewing logs, analysing indicators of compromise, documenting investigations, maintaining accurate incident records and supporting the timely containment and resolution of security events. You may contribute to vulnerability monitoring, phishing investigations, threat intelligence reviews, security reporting and continuous improvement of SOC processes and playbooks. The role may involve shift work, including evenings, nights, weekends or public holidays, to support continuous security monitoring.

Applicants should have a foundational understanding of cyber security principles, common attack techniques, networking concepts, operating systems and incident response practices. Familiarity with SIEM platforms, ticketing systems, endpoint security tools, log analysis and frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK is desirable. Relevant qualifications, certifications or practical experience in cyber security, IT support, networking or a related discipline will be advantageous. You should demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, sound judgement and the ability to communicate technical findings clearly. A proactive approach, willingness to learn, commitment to confidentiality and ability to work effectively under pressure are essential.
