We are seeking an experienced Information Security Engineer to help protect critical systems, applications and data across a complex technology environment. In this role, you will support the design, implementation and continuous improvement of security controls, working closely with infrastructure, software development, cloud and operational teams. You will contribute to a strong security culture by identifying risks, recommending practical solutions and helping ensure that security is embedded throughout the technology lifecycle.

Your responsibilities will include monitoring and investigating security events, supporting incident response activities and carrying out vulnerability assessments across networks, endpoints, applications and cloud services. You will help manage security technologies such as SIEM, endpoint protection, identity and access management, firewalls and vulnerability management platforms. You will also assist with security assessments, penetration testing coordination, threat modelling, risk analysis and the development of technical standards, procedures and guidance. Accurate documentation and clear reporting will be essential, including communicating findings and remediation plans to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have professional experience in information security engineering, security operations or a closely related discipline, together with a sound understanding of network security, cloud security, operating systems, authentication protocols and common cyber threats. Experience with security monitoring tools, scripting or automation, vulnerability management and incident handling is highly desirable. Industry certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CISM, GIAC or relevant cloud security qualifications would be advantageous. You should be analytical, collaborative and comfortable managing competing priorities, with the confidence to challenge constructively and explain complex issues clearly. A proactive approach to learning and a commitment to maintaining high standards of confidentiality, integrity and availability are essential.
