Assistant Manager, Global Cybersecurity Policies and Standards
We are seeking an Assistant Manager, Global Cybersecurity Policies and Standards to support the development, maintenance and implementation of a global cybersecurity governance framework. This role will help ensure that policies, standards and related controls remain aligned with business objectives, regulatory obligations, recognised security frameworks and evolving industry threats. You will work with stakeholders across technology, risk, legal, compliance, privacy and business functions to promote consistent cybersecurity practices across multiple regions and operating environments.
Key responsibilities will include reviewing and updating cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures and guidance; coordinating consultation, approval and publication activities; translating regulatory and security requirements into practical organisational controls; and monitoring adherence through governance reporting, assessments and issue tracking. You will support the maintenance of a central policy and standards repository, define ownership and review schedules, and contribute to exception and risk acceptance processes. The role will also involve analysing changes in legislation, regulations, technology and threat activity, assessing their potential impact, and recommending appropriate updates. You may support internal and external audits, control assessments, security awareness initiatives and continuous improvement programmes, while preparing clear reports and presentations for senior stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have experience in cybersecurity governance, risk, compliance, policy management or a related discipline, ideally within a complex, international organisation. A strong understanding of information security principles and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls or comparable standards is required, along with the ability to interpret regulatory requirements and communicate them to technical and non-technical audiences. You should be organised, analytical and confident managing multiple priorities, influencing stakeholders and working collaboratively across functions and cultures. Experience with governance, risk and compliance tools, audit processes, control mapping or policy lifecycle management would be advantageous. Relevant qualifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT or equivalent professional experience are desirable.
